Il suo nome deriva dalla dea greca della terra e, all’inizio della sua carriera, ha usato immagini di animali per sottolineare il suo forte interesse e la sua sensibilità per la natura portandola nei paesaggi urbani reintroducendola sotto forma di arte: nel 2011 ha affermato «I wanted to express this strange un-locatable feeling of fear about the end of the world – my generation’s zeitgeist of global warming»; altro tema delle sue ricerche è la narrazione storica, antropologica e sociale dei contesti in cui realizza le sue opere, realizzando delle sorte di panoramiche descrittive in cui è sinteticamente afferrata l’identità di un territorio e di una comunità. He chose his name  after the Greek Goddess of the earth and, at the beginning of his career, he used images of animals to underline his strong interest and sensitivity towards nature, bringing it into the urban landscape in art form: in 2011 he declared «I wanted to express this strange un-locatable feeling of fear about the end of the world – my generation’s zeitgeist of global warming»; another theme of research is the narration of historical, anthropological and social contexts in which he creates his work, creating a kind of descriptive panorama in which the identity of a territory or of a community is synthetically captured. His works may be admired around the world in many public spaces and prestigious museums (like the Smithsonian of Washington); at the age of just 20 he was described as the artist of the moment by The New York Times, and at 27 the magazine «Forbes» included him among the 30 under 30 who, in the future will have a major influence on the public imagination.
